Emma Royer, 79, went to be with the Lord on July 9, 2018 after a long battle with COPD.
Emma was preceded in death by her father Hassan Shakan, Jr.; mother Marjorie Shakan; daughter Susan Hay & grandson Theodore Harry Hay. She leaves behind brothers Leonard & Bill Shakan; sons Michael & Chad (Basiliki) Hay and Kenneth & Oscar Royer; grandchildren Jay Smith, Ashli Royer, and Alexandra, Theodora, & Michael Hay, Jr., as well as 3 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Friday, 5-7 pm, at the Anthony Funeral Home, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron, where a memorial service will take place at 7 pm.
