Emma Bowers, 72, went home to be with the Lord on May 24, 2017. She was born in Akron on June 7, 1944 to the late Frank & Emma DeFago. She retired from Akron General Medical Center after working 17 years as a nursing assistant. In addition to her parents, Emma was preceded in death by husband James and son Jeffrey, brother Frankie DeFago, and brother-in-law David Buckeye. She is survived by her children, Denise (Ed) Sees and Rodney DeFago; siblings Patricia Buckeye & Linda DeFago; and her grandchildren, Jessica, Ashley, Emma, Hunter, and Austin, who were the joy of her life. Per Emma's wishes, a graveside committal of ashes will take place on Wednesday, 1pm, at Oakwood Cemetery in Cuyahoga Falls. (McGowan-Reid & Santos, FALLS)
