Elva Baker Cooper passed away Friday, December 4, 2020 at the age of 103. Elva was born in Dayton, VA to the late David and Stella (Baker) Click. Elva was a graduate of Canton McKinley High School and attended Kent State University. She spent most of her adult life in Akron, where she attended Firestone Park United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Altar Guild and the Trinity Circle. She loved flowers and was admired by her friends for her horticultural skills. In addition to her parents, Elva was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Cooper, and sisters Catherine Becker, Erma Evans, and Eileen Tietze. She is survived by her loving children, Bill (Margo) Cooper and Beverly (Bruce) Thomson; 6 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. We are grateful for the ongoing support of Debbie Evans (Elva's niece) and our friends Darlene and Ray Buck. The family would also like to thank the staff of Windsor Medical Center in North Canton for their care and concern for Elva. A private graveside service will be held at Sunset Hills Burial Park in Canton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local foodbank.
