Ellen Theresa Jones

(Grace) Ellen Theresa Jones, 88, passed away on July 1, 2017. She was born in Akron, Ohio on September 10, 1928 to the late Joseph and Mae (Mary) Farrell. She graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1946. She married the love of her life, Harold (Dutch) Jones in 1947. She was the mother of 5, grandmother of 10 and great-grandmother to seven. In addition to her parents Ellen was preceded in death by her husband Harold (Dutch) Jones Sr.; brothers, Robert (Helen) Farrell, Joe, Hugh, Frank, Richard, and Patrick Farrell; sisters Margaret (William) Stoffer, Catherine (Robert) Roderick, Anna (Ronald) Gray, twin Agnes Farrell, and Edith (Robert) Herwick; and brother-in-law, John Hughes, Sr. Ellen is survived by her daughter, Joyce (Chuck) Wiedie; and sons, Harry (Vicki) Jones, Wayne Jones and Alison Kish, Vince (Darla) Jones, Ken (Lori) Jones; sisters, Josephine Hughes, Agnes (Jerry) Moore, and Judy (Ken) Flick, grandchildren Charlie (Kristina) Wiedie, Christine (Bob) Higham, Jason, Zack and Nick Jones, Cheryl (John) Perrotta, Ashley (Jeremy) Lepke, Whitney, Alyssa, and Josh Jones; great grandchildren, Caleb, Luke and Magdalena Wiedie, Bobby and Katie Higham, Owen Perrotta and Lochlan Lepke; many nieces and nephews and grandchildren by love Chad and Evan Groom who all held special places in her heart. She will be missed by Jim Dunn, her companion and best Euchre partner ever and her many friends at the Gables at Kent Ridge. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 6, 4-7 pm, at the Anthony Funeral Home McGowan-Reid & Santos Chapel 247 Stow Ave. (at Third St., one block north of Portage Trail in) Cuyahoga Falls.. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Victory Church on Friday, July 7, at 11:00 am, where the family will again receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent. Memorial donations in Ellen's name may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation or the Visiting Nurse Service/Justin T.
