Ella Mae Garner

Ella Mae (Cherry) Garner, 90, passed away Friday, April 28, 2017 at Brookdale Bath.
Ella was born July 22, 1926 to Foster and Byrthel (Rhea) Cherry in Swanee, TN and has been an Akron resident most of her life. She was a member of St. Andrew Episcopal Church.
In addition to her parents, Ella was preceded in death by her husband Taylor; brothers Ernest and Paul Cherry; nephew David (Dana) Cherry and is survived by her niece Nancy Randles; great nieces and nephews Ashley (Scott) Dickerhoof, Donna Cherry, Curt (Maggie) Randles and Stephan (Kim) Cherry; many great nieces and nephews.
Ella was an antique collector, enjoyed golf and embroidery, and round dancing with Taylor. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Funeral services will be held Monday 1:00 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Akron where friends may call from 12:00 pm (Noon) until time of services. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 70 W Streetsboro St Suite 201, Hudson, OH 44236. (AKRON)
