Elizabeth "Betty" J. (Scott) Zidan of Akron, Ohio born on September 10, 1932 in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio to the late Marie E. and James T. Scott, passed away at the age of 85 on July 10, 2018 in Cuyahoga Falls.
Elizabeth graduated from Springfield High School and was married to the late Ludwig G. Zidan.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Tom Scott. Elizabeth is survived by her sons, Daniel (Debbie) Newcome, Donald (Lori) Newcome, John (Debra) Zidan and James (Lori) Zidan; daughter, Janice (John) Schwarzinger; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Geneva Scott; and many cherished friends in Tullahoma, Tennessee and Cardinal Retirement Village.
Betty loved going to church and also enjoyed organizing fellowship dinners. She was a beautiful gospel singer, poet and an amazing artist.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, July 16, 2018 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home McGowan-Reid & Santos Chapel, 247 Stow Ave. (one block North of Portage Trail at 3rd St.) Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221. A Graveside service will take place on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Oakwood Cemetery, 2420 Oakwood Dr. in Cuyahoga Falls. (McGowan-Reid & Santos Chapel, Cuyahoga Falls)
