Elizabeth 'Anne' Brunner, 95, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 10, 2025 at the Village of St. Edward.
Anne was born on May 13, 1929 in Akron to the late Robert & Alma Hill and was a 1947 graduate of St. Vincent High School. Anne had been a parishioner of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church for over 60 years, where she was a member of the Altar & Rosary Society and the Mothers of Sorrows, and a member of the Christ Child Society. Anne was an avid golfer and traveler. Her favorite spot was Myrtle Beach and she loved taking day and weekend trips with her husband Al. She enjoyed playing card games, especially hand & foot and bridge.
In addition to her parents, Anne was preceded in death by her husband Al; sisters Dolores, Robbie, & Jeannie; brother Pat. When Anne married Al, she was instantaneously the mother of five kids: Suzanne (Gary) Elliott, John Brunner, James Brunner (deceased), Patricia (Dan) Moyer, & David (Diana) Brunner; grandchildren Melissa (Josh) Tate, Mark (Kristine) Elliott, Melanie (Steve) Haehner, Rob Moyer, Chris (Stefanie) Moyer, Asia (Dave) Housmath, Erik (Sydney) Brunner, & Aaron (Suzette) Brunner; 20 great-grandchildren, & 7 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Pat Brunner. Anne also leaves behind numerous nieces & nephews and the family would like to thank special caregivers Charlie, Betsy, & Nancy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 14 at 11am, with the family receiving friends starting at 10am, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 1905 Portage Trail in Cuyahoga Falls. Interment will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery on Monday, March 17, at 1045am. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution in Anne's memory to IHM Church, St. Vincent-St. Mary High School or to the Haven of Rest.
