Elenora Frances (Cogar) Remis

Frances "Kitty" Remis, 86, Passed away Friday, November 19, 2021 after a brief illness. Kitty was born April 10, 1935 to Emery and Freeda (Starcher) Cogar in Normantown WV. She and her husband Robert have been Green residents since 1968. She was the president of the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association (FCSLA) Branch 560.
Kitty was a caregiver for many, loved to bake and was known for making hundreds of Christmas cookies. She enjoyed traveling, especially with Bob.
She was a faithful member of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church and spent many years helping to maintain the outdoor gardens. She and Bob were long time members of the Padre Pio Prayer Group (now St. Padre Pio).
Kitty is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Bob; children Cheryl (Ted) Remis and Rob (Diane) Remis; granddaughter Lauren (Melissa) Foster; great grandchildren Evelyn and one yet to be born. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Edmund Cogar, Kenneth Cogar and Elizabeth Osredkar.
Private Funeral Services have taken place with interment at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made to Queen of Heaven, 1800 Steese Rd., Uniontown OH 44685 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
