Eleanor Mae Albert

Eleanor Albert (nee Schleicher), 89 of Akron, passed away June 27, 2025 after a courageous battle with dementia.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother Joe and Mary Schleicher, her brother Bob, and her beloved husband Wendell.
She retired after 29 years of service at the JCPenney Co. She enjoyed being with her friends, playing cards, going to lunch, and going to spaghetti. Her greatest joy in life was her family. She leaves behind daughter Sharon, sons Michael (Tracy) and Paul (Margie), along with 6 grandchildren Amanda (Matt), Derek (Danae), Kevin, Ryan, Zach, and Jake (Sarah), and 5 great-grandsons. She was the glue that kept us together and will be greatly missed. Love you mom!Eleanor will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery on Monday, July 7 at noon.
