Edward Howard Roeger

Edward (Eddie)Roeger age 71, passed away on July 27th after a long illness. He will be united in eternity with his parents Howard and Maxine Roeger, sister Lana Carbaugh, and brother Bob Roeger. He leaves behind wife Lisa (Felice), sister Sandy (Richard) Kremer, sister Tammy (Michael) McGhee and many nieces and nephews and dear friends.
Eddie played many sports growing up, but baseball was his first love. He was on several teams that were coached by his father. He played in high school and earned two college scholarships for baseball, but injuries precluded him from realizing his dream to be a professional.
He graduated from Garfield High School in 1972. He became an automotive painter and received an award of excellence for his work. He enjoyed fishing with his father, bowling and golfing with his buddies. He and Lisa truly enjoyed hosting an annual 4th of July picnic for the Firestone Park Fireworks show for many years. Together they also enjoyed their regular trips to the Hartville Flee Market and eating out at their favorite restaurants. Sadly, he leaves behind his best friend Jasper, his dog.
Eddie was loved by many and will be missed by all.
A funeral service will take place Friday, August 2, 2024, at 11:30 AM at Immaculate Conception of Mary Parish, Akron OH, 2101 17th St. S.W., Akron OH 44314 where the family will receive friends starting at 10:45 AM until the start of the service. A reception will take place immediately following the service at the church.
