Edward C. Murawski, 80, passed away on February 8, 2023.
Ed was born in Poland on July 20, 1942, came to the US in 1965 and had been a resident of both North Hill and more recently New Franklin. Ed worked as a machinist, retiring in 1993. He was a former member of St. Hedwig & St. Anthony Catholic Churches and currently was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Ed loved people and was a friend to everyone. He enjoyed being outside to garden, fish, and going for walks.
Ed is survived by his wife of 43 years, Maria; his daughter Michelle (Donald) Chatman; his beloved granddaughters Arianna & Aubriella; sisters Teresa Okonski, Gina Cunningham, & Elizabeth (Eric) Roser, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 10, from 5-7 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 11, 10 am at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church 4019 Manchester Rd. Akron, OH 44319. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution in Ed's memory to St. Francis de Sales Parish. (Anthony, AKRON)
