Edward Michael Broske

Edward Michael Broske, 77, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at his home.
Ed was born July 18, 1938 to Walter and Margaret (Seman) Broske in Akron and had been an area resident his entire life. He was graduate of East High School where he played football and wrestled. He was employed by BF Goodrich for 17 years and retired from the maintenance department at Bank One (Chase). He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church.
Ed's greatest joy was his family and he is survived by his wife of 48 years Pauline; children Frances Piper, Harold (Butch) Cregan (A.J.), Vernelle McGlumphy (Edwin), Theresa Smith (Patrick) and Michael Broske; brothers Bernard (decd.), Dave (Sandra) and Jim (Lisa); grandchildren Chris (Kim) Ryan (June) Rueger, Edwin (Angie), Tina, Durwin, Duane, Dustin (Samantha) McGlumphy, Jennifer Pollard, Mikiah, Dylan and Sean Smith, and Tyler and Taylor Broske; many dear nieces and nephews and a growing number of great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday 4 to 7 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Akron where funeral services will be held Saturday 11:00 am.
