Douglas J. Sparenga, 65, of Stow passed away on September 7. He was born in Cleveland, the son of the late Joseph

and Agnes Sparenga. A Teamster, Doug was retired from the Holland Trucking Company where he was a long haul driver. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping with his family.

His survivors include wife of 44 years, Carolyn; sons William (Keri), and Jeff (Kathy); grandchildren, Skye, Shae, Britny,, Jesse, and Jeff; as well as other family and friends. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Pat Dawson.

Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Dunn-Quigley Stow Chapel (3333 Kent Rd. at Rt. 91) where funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday. Memorial donations may be made to either the Humane Soc. of Summit Co. or the American Cancer Soc.
