Dorothy J. "Dot" McGuinness, 89, passed away on May 30. Born in Barberton she was
the daughter of the late Clyde and Corrine Young, A member or St. Martha's (Blessed Trinity) Parish, she had at one time worked as the church secretary. Dot loved to create crafts and work puzzles but she mostly loved spending time with family.

Preceded in death by her husband Joseph; sons, Allan and John; and sister, Martha Scheckengost, she is survived by daughters, Barbara Haren, Helen Shinn, Mary (Kevin) Hanke, and Joyce Burton; sons, Louis (Cyndi), and Raymond; sisters, Ida Simcox and Mary Lou Oberholtz; brother, Dennis Young;15 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren (with one on the way).

Calling hours will be on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home (811 Grant St.). Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church (St. Martha's, 300 Tallmadge Ave). Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
