Dorothy B. Hampton

Dorothy B. Hampton, 95 passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at Akron City Hospital.
She was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and was a Cuyahoga Falls resident for most of her life. She was employed by and was a veteran of the U. S. Navy serving during World War II. Mrs. Hampton was a charter member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and enjoyed playing bingo and doing crossword puzzles.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hans and Lucy (Hoffman) Kranz; husband, Woodrow; 3 sisters; and 1 brother. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John and Sandie Hampton; grandson, Alex (Jami) Hampton; and great-grandchildren, Eleanor and Theodore Hampton.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 10 a.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home McGowan-Reid & Santos Chapel, 247 Stow Ave. (one block North of Portage Trail at 3rd St.) Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221. Fr. James Singler officiating. Interment at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
