Dorothy (Dot) Gustafson

Dorothy (Dot) Gustafson from Cuyahoga Falls, OH passed away on March 5th, 2022. She was born on January 19, 1928 in Jeannette, PA to Agnes Kren and Carl Kramer. She met her husband Roy T (Ted) Gustafson also from Jeannette, PA, married in 1949, then moved to Akron, OH. She initially worked for Goodyear Aerospace, then later worked for Donley's & Sons for 15 years, and as Secretary for John Morgan, Mayor of Tallmadge, OH. She then followed Mr. Morgan when he became County Executive for Summit County and worked as his Executive Assistant until her retirement.

Her husband Ted passed away in June 2000, and she is survived by her son Robert in Palm Springs, CA and her close friend Julie Podomnik (Bill) in Amherst, OH, who she thought of as a daughter.

After their retirement, Dot and Ted travelled the states for a few years in their motor home until they traded it in for a winter home in Winter Haven, Florida and spent their free time golfing.  Aside from her love for cooking and entertaining, Dot volunteered at St Thomas Hospital and also enjoyed spending time in her gardens as much as possible.
