Dorothy Faith Ebling (Newman), born on April 27, 1957 passed away unexpectedly on December 15, 2021 at her home in Stow. Dorothy was born in Fort Dix, NJ to the late Gerald and Carlene (Adams) Newman. Dorothy moved to Ohio where she grew up in Medina County and graduated from Brunswick High School. From there she moved to Streetsboro where she raised her family before moving to Stow 16 years ago where she and her husband could have a more active role in watching their grandchildren grow.
Dorothy is survived by her husband of 45 years, Russell Ebling; their daughters, Carlene (Joe) Brock, Nichole Ebling, Sarah Ebling and Amanda Ebling-Moore; Son-in-law Mike Moore; Sisters, Marlene Gauthier, Cynthia Newman. Brothers; Nicholas (Linda) Newman, Gerald (Linda) Newman. Mother-in-law Audrey (Kovacic) Ebling as well as her dear sisters and brothers-in-law, along with many nieces and nephews that she cherished as her own children.
Dorothy was a loving and devoted grandmother to her precious grandchildren, Olivia, Noah, Dominic, Samuel, Anna, Evelyn and Eli. Gramma and Papa's house has always been family headquarters as well as home to "Club Awesome," where Grammy ensured that being a kid was the only rule to follow.
Along with her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her sister Kathleen, and brother Donald.
Funeral Mass will take place at 10:00 am, Monday, December 27, at Holy Family Church, 3179 Kent Rd., Stow, Ohio, followed by burial at Northlawn Memorial Gardens, Peninsula, Ohio. A reception will be held following at Roses Run Country Club.
