It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Donna J. Manning, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who left this world peacefully in her home in Akron, Ohio, where she was born and raised. Born on May 8, 1935, Donna lived a life filled with warmth, laughter, and a passion for nurturing her family and community through her long career as a restaurant and kitchen manager.

Donna's high school diploma set her on a path that would see her become not just a talented manager, but a cherished figure within the restaurant industry-transforming kitchens into homes filled with love and delicious meals. Known for her incredible culinary skills and her ability to bring people together, Donna's legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched through her work.

A devoted matriarch, she leaves behind her sons, William R, Timothy J. Manning; her daughters-in-law, April, Chona, and Beth. She was the proud grandmother of seven, including Alicia Manning, Heather Manning, Kara Riley, and cherished great-grandchildren, Alexa Hopkins, Abagail Shephard, Owen Lee, Allison Lee, and Hannah Lee. Donna's love extended far and wide, and her family will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

She was preceded in death by her parents Helen and Hubert Van Cleave, daughter Cathy-Sue Manning, son, Michael K. Manning, and granddaughter Jennifer Chandler

In the coming days, family and friends will gather to celebrate her remarkable life and the indelible impact she had on all who knew her. Donna's family will receive guests Saturday March 15 from 11:00 am until 12 Noon in the Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home 811 Grant St. Akron, OH. A service will follow at 12:00 Noon in the funeral home with interment following in Greenlawn Cemetery.
