Donna Marie Koehler

Donna Marie Koehler, 84, passed away Monday, January 11, 2021 at her home.
Donna was born June 11, 1936 to Bernard J. and Ardeta (Stombaugh) Corl in Akron. She was a 1954 graduate of Garfield High School and had been a New Franklin resident for many years. She was employed by Bell Telephone, Weight Watchers and Avon.
Donna was a faithful member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. She was involved in leadership of the YMCA Indian Maidens, was a member of the K of C 3410 Wives and the URW Local 7 Retirement Club. She also volunteered at bingo for St. Francis for several years. Donna grew up as an only child, but she loved children and decided she wanted many children of her own. She ended up with 9 children, 21
grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, daughter in law, Kathy and her grandsons, Scott and Adam.
Donna is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Joe; children Ronald, Carl (Franca) and Paul Koehler, Jeanette (Andy) Burnett, John (Elizabeth) Koehler, Ann (David) Salvino, Teresa (James) Hunter, Joyce (Mark) Zellers and Angela (Mark 'Wally') Wallace; nieces Kimberly, Sheryl and nephew/Godson Kevin.
The family will receive friends Friday, January 15, 2021 from 4 to 7 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St., Akron. Masks and social distancing are required. A funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 10:00 am at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 4019 Manchester Rd, Akron, OH 44319. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers,
donations may be made to St. Francis de Sales School.
