Dolores Helen Polack

Dolores Helen Polack passed away peacefully on February 17, 2018 surrounded by the love of her family.
She was born in Akron, Ohio on December 24, 1930 to the late Elizabeth and William Hollie Fields. A faithful member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Dolores was a prayerful and kindhearted woman. She dedicated her life to her family-they were her pride and joy, enjoying much laughter and happiness (and card games) when they were all together.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years and love of her life, Andrew, who we are sure welcomed her home on his birthday to dance together for eternity in paradise. She was also preceded by beloved grandson Mitchell Ange; sister Mary Jane Scott; and many in-laws and friends.
Dolores is survived by her loving children: Sons, Mike (Ludie), Bill (Teresa), Rich (Connie), Jim (Ann), Dave (Michelle) Polack and daughters Geri (Larry) Ange, and Pam (Ed) Demor; her treasured grandchildren Aaron (Meghann), Jeff, Tim, Jessica, Alyssa, Stacy, Scott, Andy, Catie Polack, Anthony Ange, Heather (Jordan Oja), Steve and Ben Demor and Zoey Fisher; two cherished great grandchildren Ford and George Polack; sister Ann Stayshich; sisters-in-law Helen Simko, Laverne Polack; and brothers-in-law Ed Polack & Bruce Scott; along with many nieces and nephews.
Thank you to all of the nurses, aides and staff at The Village of St. Edwards who helped make mom's last three years there feel like home.
The family will receive friends from 4-7PM Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at the Anthony Funeral Home, Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S Main St. in Akron. Funeral services will begin with prayers Thursday at 9:30AM at the funeral home, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1580 Brown St. in Akron.
