In Loving Memory of Dimce Dukovski

March 10, 1950 - September 28, 2026

It is with deep sadness that we announce that our beloved Dimce Risto Dukovski, passed away peacefully at the age of 76 on September 28, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born on March 10, 1950 in Delcevo, Macedonia, to his parents, Risto and Menka. Dimce was always very proud of his Macedonian culture and loved to sing and dance. He performed with Ilinden, one of the largest folklore groups in Bitola, Macedonia. He was an avid, gifted singer who performed and recorded with many accomplished Macedonian singers and artists.

It was through his love of music and song that he met the love of his life, Lence, in 1969. Together they sang and performed on tour in several countries, with their most treasured times in France, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria and Italy. Their love of music remained constant throughout their life together, as they continued to sing, put on concerts and even recorded a duet album. Music was the beginning of their love story and remained a special thread woven throughout their lives, through the many decades they spent singing and performing side by side.

Although he loved his birthplace, he wanted more opportunities for his family. After serving his military obligation, he moved to Australia in search of that opportunity. He enjoyed his time in Australia, but the real opportunity came when his grandfather and father were able to bring him to America.

In 1979, he brought his wife and 2 children to Akron, Ohio, the "Rubber Capital", and he worked in several factories related to the industry to support his family. He moved his family to New Jersey in 1983 in search of better work opportunities, but ultimately moved back to Akron two years later. Over the years, he worked for several companies before becoming employed by Summa Akron City Hospital, where he proudly worked there as a hospital transporter until he retired.

The things that brought him the most joy in life were children and animals, especially his beloved chihuahuas. He cherished being a tato, chicho and dedo, and loved being involved in raising his kids, nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Some of his favorite moments were spent taking his grandchildren to the park and enjoying ice cream together.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Lence; his children, Sasho and Sonja (Buddy); his brothers, Mile (Paca) and Trajce (Stella); his grandchildren, Katerina (Juan), Kassandra, Malina, his "Chupa na Dedo," and Andon, his "Bekjar na Dedo"; and his great-grandchild, Isabella, along with his loving nieces, nephews and family overseas.

He was the puzzle piece that made our family whole. His love, strength, and presence made our family what it is, and there will always be a piece missing without him.

He is forever loved by all who had the privilege of knowing him and his story.

Private services for the family have already taken place per his wishes.
