Diane Marie (Koly) Schumaker

Beloved by all who knew her, the room lit up when Diane walked in ... with her gentleness, soft laughter, and sweet smile. Diane Marie (Koly) Schumaker, 64, passed into the loving arms of her Savior on Thanksgiving morning, November 28, 2024. Born in Akron, November 27, 1960, Diane was raised in North Hill and graduated from North High in 1979. Employed by Akron Community Foundation for 27 years, she was respected and beloved by all who knew her. Though small in stature, she was deeply admired for her outstanding work ethic, quiet strength and kind heart.
Diane carried a special "twinkle in her eye" and her mere presence made you smile and happy to be with her. She was a shining star and a gift from God!
Her devotion and love for her husband Ronnie was apparent, as well as her deepest care for her beloved pets.
Preceded in death by her parents Stephen and Mary Jane, Diane is survived by her loving husband, Ron, brothers Stephen (Patti Lee), David (Nancy), & Michael (Nancy) Koly, and sister Kathleen Booth (Craig).
Calling hours will be Friday, December 13, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the Anthony Funeral Home - Falls Chapel, 247 Stow Avenue in Cuyahoga Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 14, at 11:00am, with the family receiving friends for one hour prior, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 1905 Portage Trail in Cuyahoga Falls. Internment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in the Falls. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution in Diane's memory to the "Diane M.
