Debra V. Toth, 69, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Akron City Hospital with her family and friends at her side.
Debbie was born April 8, 1956, to John and Victoria (Chirila) Toth in Akron and had been an area resident her entire life. She was a 1974 graduate of Garfield High School and held two degrees in Secretarial Science and Business Studies from the University of Akron. She was a life member of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority to this day. She was employed by Merrill Lynch, Fairlawn Police Department, Akron City Hospital and Akron Children's Hospital, retiring in 2022. She was proud of being Summit County Precinct Election Official.
Debbie was a lifelong, faithful and active member of Presentation of Our Lord Romanian Orthodox Church where she volunteered countless hours. She was a member of the Church Council and the Ladies Auxiliary. She was a volunteer at Akron Children's Hospital. She had an active social life, enjoyed games of chance with friends and Cleveland Sports.
Debbie is survived by brother John (Margie) Toth and their son Bryce; brother Robert Toth; sister Victoria Toth and was preceded in death by her parents.
The family will receive friends Monday, December 22, 2025, from 3 to 7 PM at Presentation of Our Lord Orthodox Church, 3365 Ridgewood Rd., Fairlawn OH 44333 where a Saracusta will be held at 6:30 PM. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the church followed by interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Donations may be made to Presentation Church.
