Deborah A. Vanamburg

Debbie, born May 28, 1951, passed away March 9, 2014 surrounded by family after battling a short illness.
Debbie was a lifelong resident of North Hill, Akron. She was an avid bowler and was a majorette at Melody's
Dance Studio when she was younger. She enjoyed visiting with family & friends, playing lottery tickets,
playing games & going out with her husband to places like Stonehedge Bowling Alley.
She was preceded in death by her father & mother, Michael (Al) & Irma (Peg) Houck; and brother, Michael A. Houck.
She is survived by her husband, Russell VanAmburg; brother, Donald (Carol) Houck; nephew, Nicholas (Melissa)
Houck; niece, Dawn (Jason) Miller; and many other family members. The family would like to thank the
nurses and staff at Altercare, Akron City Hospital and Akron General Medical Center for their help.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, 11 a.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home McGowan-Reid & Santos Chapel, 247 Stow Ave.
(one block North of Portage Trail at 3rd St.) in Cuyahoga Falls. Interment at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends
