David C. Hodge, 82, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on September 27, 2026.
David was born in Youngstown, OH on November 4, 1943 to the late Clayton and Dorothea Hodge and was a graduate of Youngstown South High School and Youngstown State University. He retired from Roberts Express, which later became Fedex Custom Critical. David was a veteran of the US Navy. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Cuyahoga Falls.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his sisters Anne Marie and Patricia. He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 60 years, Claudia; his children Jennifer (Al) Uphouse, Erin (Greg) Brubach, Matthew (Tricia) Hodge, Marc (Karrie) Hodge, Adam (Jessica) Hodge; grandchildren AnnaMarie (fiance` David), Kathryn, & Margaret Bendgen, Matthew (Amber) Uphouse, Christina (Laura) Uphouse-Combs, Nathan, & David Brubach, Maci, Rylie, & Matthew Hodge, Harper & Colette Hodge, & Jack & Will Hodge.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 5, 11 am, with the family receiving friends for one hour prior, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 1905 Portage Trail in Cuyahoga Falls. Interment will follow with full military honors at Chestnut Hill Memorial Gardens in Cuyahoga Falls.
