David Gordon Jr.

David William Gordon Jr. of Green, OH passed away on January 26, 2026, at the age of 80.

Dave was preceded in death by his wife Collena "Connie" (nee Branham) of 44 years, parents David W. Sr, and Gladys Gordon (nee Berg) and brothers Gerald (Marsha) and Mark (Marilyn) Gordon. He is survived by his sister Joyce (Mike) Downey; daughter Jennifer Gordon; son Jonathan (Jennifer) Gordon; grandchildren Justin (Nicole) Gordon, Gregory Gordon, Alyssa Gordon and Erik Deshotel; several brothers and sisters in law and many nieces and nephews.

Dave served in the U.S.M.C. from 1965 to 1969, a Sergeant and combat veteran of the Vietnam War. He was employed by Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company for several years. After retiring he enjoyed working with dogs, especially German Shepherds, and assisted local police departments with K9 tactical training.

His family would like to thank his medical care team at Summa Health, DaVita, Greenview Assisted Living, and Rose Lane Nursing Home for bringing him comfort during his final years.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 5 pm to 8 pm at the City of Green, John Torok Community & Senior Center, 4224 Massillon Rd, North Canton, OH 44720. Private internment will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
