Darlene Sue (Mcfarland) Woods

Darlene Sue Woods (McFarland) age 69, passed away on Monday May 9th 2022 from complications due to Alzheimer's. She was born April 22, 1953 to the late Helen and Raymond McFarland in Akron and was a lifelong resident. She was an amazing Mother, Grandmother, Great- Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend. She put nothing above her family, she enjoyed cooking, baking, taking walks, and traveling. Proceeded in death by her Grandson Tyler Woods and Brother in law Randy Johnson, she is survived by her daughters Dawn (Steve) Durgala and Heather Woods; Grand children Austin (Carson), Kiersten, Alyssa, Kaitlin, Elizabeth, Raymond, and Gracie; Great- Grand children Benjamin, Kendall, Lincoln, Addison, and Penelope; Sisters Norma Johnson and Ann McFarland, Brother Larry McFarland and her nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. The family will welcome family and friends at a Celebration of Life on May 19th from 4-8 at the Freda Hunter Bates Pavilion (on top of hill) located at Boettler Park at 5300 Massillon Rd Green, OH 44720. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the www.alz.org . Plants would be welcomed for her memorial garden.
