Daniel J. Newton, Md

Daniel Joseph Newton, MD, 55, extremely loved and cherished husband of Angela (nee Babitt), extraordinary father of Hannah, Tyler, and Ellie Dermott, beloved son of G. Daniel and Joanne (LaPinta) Newton, brother of Anthony M. (Kathy) and Michael T. (Rachel) Newton, uncle to Stella and Robert Newton, and son-in-law of William (Cindy) Babitt and Malea Anderson passed away unexpectedly, Monday, April 29, 2024.

Daniel was born in Cleveland and was a 1987 graduate of Benedictine High School. He entered Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine and was accredited as an Interventional Cardiologist. He practiced at Summa Akron from 2003 to 2013, Wooster Community Hospital from 2013 to 2020, and with Vital Solutions at Fisher-Titus Medical Center, Norwalk since 2020.

He was a member of the American Heart Association and the American College of Cardiology. He spent many hours at Vintage Wing helping to restore the Beach City Baby aircraft. The greatest joys in his life were his wife and three children.

The family will receive friends Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 3 to 6 pm and Sunday May 5, 2024, from 2 to 6 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home of Green, 4178 Massillon Road, Uniontown OH 44685 (corner of Steese and Massillon Roads, entrance off Steese). Funeral services will take place Monday, May 6, 2024, at 11:30 am at the Funeral Home. Interment to follow at North Lawn Cemetery in Canton.
