It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dale Edward Matwiju, who left us peacefully on January 7, 2025 at the age of 71. Born in Akron, Ohio on July 15, 1953, Dale lived his entire life in this vibrant city, creating a legacy of kindness and warmth.

Dale's journey in life was characterized by quiet strength and resilience.

a graduate of Garfield High School, his intelligence and resourcefulness shone through his work in maintenance at Childrens Hospital, Holland Oil, and Bologna Insurance Agency where he dedicated many years to ensuring that the facilities he managed were safe and welcoming to all. His hands-on approach to life and work reflected his practical wisdom and unwavering dependability, traits that endeared him to friends and colleagues alike.

He is survived by his beloved brother, Dennis Matwiju, who will cherish the many memories they created together over the years. Dale was a dedicated brother, and their bond remained strong throughout their lives.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Matt and Helen Matwiju.

In contemplation of Dale's life, we reflect on the simple joys he celebrated, the laughter he shared, and the compassion he extended to those around him. He will be remembered for his gentle spirit and the warmth he brought to every interaction.

Dale's departure leaves a void that will be deeply felt, but his legacy will continue to inspire warmth and kindness in all who knew him. May he rest in peace. A private graveside service will be. held at Holy Cross Cemetery at Akron, Ohio.
