Cynthia Ann Vance, a beacon of sweetness and an unexpected miracle to all who knew her passed away on February 18, 2026 leaving behind a legacy of resilience and unconditional love. She was born on May 11, 1959 in Akron, Ohio with Down's Syndrome. At the time, doctors suggested to her mother and father that they place her in a home and forget her. Choosing love over clinical advice, her parents, both at the age of 23 and with a 2-year-old brother at home, brought her home and raised her to become the remarkable woman she became. Cynthia was a member of Queen of Heaven Church in Green.

Cynthia lived a life defined by community and joy. She was a proud athlete in the Special Olympics, where she channeled her energy and spirit in every competition. Her Saturday mornings were sacred, spent bowling with her dear friends, followed by a social calendar filled with special events and dances. She enjoyed music and puzzles and had an impressive collection of 45s, covering a wide range of musical genres.

Perhaps Cynthia's most extraordinary gift was her "birthday brain". She possessed an uncanny ability to remember the birthday of everyone she met - whether you're a family member, friend, or someone she only encountered once. To be remembered by Cynthia was to be truly seen.

Preceded in death by her parents Frank and Rosemary and special friend Bobby Coleman. She is survived by brother's Greg (Terre) and Bruce (Brenda) and sister Lori (Jeff) Marzick; Nephews Matthew (Izzie) Guillot and Cody; Niece Melory (Kevin) Knisely; Great Niece Lillian Knisely and Great Nephews Oakley Knisely and Elliot Guillot; good friend Joann Franz; and many friends, aunts, uncles and cousins.
