Constance Amy Blasdel

Constance 'Connie' (Byers) Blasdel, a long-time resident of the Akron area, passed on the 4th of March, 2016 at Akron General Hospice Center after a short battle with lung cancer.
Born on September 10th, 1948 in Barberton, Ohio, Connie attended Manchester High School and was employed at the Summit County Auditor's office for many years. She then went on to help raise her granddaughter, whom she dearly loved.
With a talent and affection for arts and crafts, Connie gave much of herself to those close to her. She was also an animal compassionate, lending a frequent hand when she could.
Connie is survived by her husband of 47 years, Kenneth Cook Jr; daughters Amy Rena Karcher (Joe) and Angela Eckman (Rick); son Kennth Blasdel and four grandchildren, Nicole, Jacob, Jade, Jenna; and brother Tim Byers (Kelly).
Per Connie's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Connie's life will take place Saturday, March 19 from 1:00-4:00 PM, where the family will receive friends at the Anthony Funeral Home, Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S.
