Christopher Michael Bird - CB to family and friends passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on July 10th.
Chris was born in South Miami, FL on January 19, 1977 to Dennis and Nancy Bird. He grew up in the Firestone Park area of Akron Ohio, attended St. Paul's School, St. Vincent-Saint Mary High School and the University of Akron where he was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity.
Christopher spent most of his working career in the Akron/Canton/Columbus area specializing in sales of both jewelry and automobiles, and most recently in sales with Sleep Number store in the Montrose area of Akron.
CB had an artistic flair for designing jewelry and a wide variety of sports interests. He enjoyed golfing and creating the worlds best Mexican food, chili, barbecue, and his famous Thanksgiving stuffing. He will always be known for his passion and love of his favorite sports teams from The "U" - The University of Miami Hurricanes honoring the place of his birth. He also had compassion for all types of animals, rescuing as many as possible.
Christopher was preceded in death by his Grandparents John and Dorothy (Gmerek) Anderson and Russel Bird.
He is survived by his Grandmother Shirley (Werntz) Bird, his parents Nancy Anderson Bird (Tony Mastadonna) and Dennis and Cheryl Bird; brother Nicholas Bird and beloved cat "Buddy". He is also survived by many special aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
The family will receive friends on Thursday July 20th from 4-7 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main Street in Akron. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 21 at 10:00 am at St. Paul Catholic Church 1580 Brown St. in Akron.
