Christina Suzanne (Martin) Shaffer

Christina Suzanne Shaffer, 75, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on October 10, 2024.

Chris was born on September 30, 1949, in Alliance, OH to the late Robert & Mary Martin and was a Cuyahoga Falls/Akron resident for most of her life. Chris was a proud mother and homemaker who adored spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was an avid Browns and Cavs fan. Chris loved to walk, she enjoyed nature the beach and trips with her family. She had a strong faith in the Lord and believed in the power of prayer.

In addition to her parents, Chris was preceded in death by her brother Roland as well as many of her furry children. She is survived by her beloved husband of 39 years Dennis, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond; her children James Herceg, Tammy Hancock, & Joseph Herceg; grandchildren Jordan (Jordan), Jared, Jillian, Vincent, & Toby; great-grandsons Blaine & Colson; brothers Andrew (Sue), Richard (Brenda), & Robert (Mary) Martin and sisters Elizabeth (Gary) Brown, Margaret (Bill) Morgan, Kathleen (Timothy) Weahry, Becky (Brady) Wilson, & Jean (Brian) Murphy, numerous nieces & nephews, and her beloved dogs Rocky & Casey; special lifelong friends Karen Zenz, and Linda & Ed Farnbaugh.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 18, from 4-7 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home McGowan-Reid & Santos Chapel 247 Stow Ave in Cuyahoga Falls. Interment will take place on Saturday, October 19, 10 am, at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park, with a Celebration of Chris's life to follow.
