Cheryl lost her yearlong courageous fight with cancer on February 8, 2023. She fought hard but God had other plans for her.
Everyone who knew her experienced a spiritual selfless woman who gave her all to everyone. Her belief in our Lord Jesus Christ made her who she is, especially in her profession as a hair stylist which she did for over 55 years in Fairlawn, OH. She graduated from Hower Vocational Cosmetology School. She loved all her clients as they loved her.
She was a member of St. Nikolai Orthodox Church and loved day trips to Amish Country.
Although Michael and Cheryl divorced in 1998, they remained married in their hearts for the 33 years they were together. Michael was holding her in his arms when she took her last breath.
Preceded in death by her parents Theodore and Margaret Grant, twin brothers Thomas Albert and Theodore Allen, and Kirk who died at child birth, along with their mother. She leaves her beloved life partner Michael Lontchar, brother Rex (Sue) Grant and many loved ones: you know who you are. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. May God grant ger eternal peace.
The family will receive friends Sunday, February 12, 2023, from 2 to 5 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home, 1990 S. Main St., Akron where a Parastas service will be held at 4:30 pm and Monday, February 13, 2023 from 12 to 1 pm with the funeral service held Monday at 1:00 PM, Rev. Frs. Don Freude and James Barkett officiating. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Nikolai Orthodox Church, 9837 West State Street, Louisville, Ohio 44641.
