Cheryl Ann Bender, born on March 1, 1950, to the late William and Katherine (nee:Schlitt) Bender at Akron, Ohio passed away peacefully from natural causes on November 4, 2025, at the age of 75. A lifelong resident of Akron, Cheryl was a beloved sister, a dedicated friend, and a cherished member of her community.

Known for her warm heart and kind spirit, Cheryl spent many years working as a retail clerk for several local businesses where she cultivated strong relationships with both her co-workers and the many customers she served. Her passion for helping others shone through in every interaction, leaving lasting impressions on those who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Cheryl is survived by her brother, Jeffrey Bender, her sister, Leslie Bender, as well as special friends, Shanda Porter and Wes Ziegler. Her family and friends will forever treasure the memories they created together and the laughter they shared.

In addition to her parents Cheryl was preceded in death by her brothers, Gregory and Russell Bender.

The family will receive friends on Monday November 10, 2025, in the Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home 811 Grant St., Akron, O. beginning at 10:00 a.m. with a funeral service to take place at 11:00 a.m., providing an opportunity for her loved ones to gather and reflect on the beauty of her spirit. Following the service, Cheryl will be laid to rest in Holy Cross Cemetery, Akron at 12:00 PM.

As we come together to celebrate Cheryl's life, let us remember her not just for the years she lived, but for the love she shared and the countless lives she touched along the way. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew her.
