Charles E. Hammond

Dear Husband and Father, Charles E. Hammond (Gene) left this world on Sunday, December 29, 2013 at the age of 72.
Gene was a lifelong resident of Northampton (Cuyahoga Falls), only recently residing in Streetsboro, Ohio. He was the owner-operator of Hammond Excavating and Landscaping until his retirement. Gene's greatest passion was his love of animals. He bred and showed many award winning miniature horses and at any one time would own up to 5 dogs. He will be greatly missed.
He leaves to mourn his passing his beloved wife of 53 years, Joanne; his sons, Charles R. (Beth) and Steven (Maria); his three grandchildren, Samantha, Chuck and Justin; his brother-in-law, Thomas Hooper; many nieces and nephews; and his German Shepherd, Arno.
Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, 1 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home McGowan-Reid & Santos Chapel, 247 Stow Ave. (one block North of Portage Trail at 3rd St.), Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221.
