Cathy Sue Dix

Cathy Dix passed on to be with the Lord early Wednesday morning, July 22, following a brief illness. Absent from the body and now present with the Lord, Cathy's family, though deeply saddened by her departure, cherish the assurance that she is in a far better place because of her belief and personal relationship with Jesus.
Cathy is survived by her husband John Dix; her three daughters Meghann (Kevin) Tichnell, Caitlin (Mark) Sabino, and Lauren (Austin) Cantwell; 6 grandchildren Adriana, Leah, Sophie, Harlan, and two on the way.
Cathy always put others' needs before hers. She was a very giving wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and nurse. She was a caring person, deeply loving her family, friends, and patients. Cathy was a very good listener with an infectious smile. She was gifted with a quiet intelligence, a wonderful sense of humor, a sincere interest in one's well being, and a charming humility that always made her powerfully present in a 'behind the scenes' kind of way. She was truly extraordinary. Cathy will be greatly missed by those who knew her, but it is comforting to know that, truly, Cathy is in a wonderful place now, the Kingdom, which is a gift to those who have received Christ.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, 4-6 pm at the Maranatha Bible Church 1424 Killian Rd. Akron, OH 44312, where a memorial service will take place immediately following at 6:00 pm.
