In the early morning hours of May 15, 2025, Catherine (Kate) White fell asleep in the Lord with a heart full of love, the fruits of the Holy Spirit, and hope in the risen Lord after a long, hard fought battle with cancer.
Kate was known to all as a lover of all things horses, the Ohio State Buckeyes, any book imaginable, great music, a fabulous pair of shoes and a great mixed drink. She was a passionate wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, Teta Kuma, and friend who cherished each role in her life. She was a beloved teacher who adored the students she had and in later years loved taking her dog Izzy to read at the school. She could always be found surrounded by a group of kids reading to them, teaching them a skill, or singing to them with her beautiful voice. She fiercely dedicated her life to her faith and lived her life to the fullest. She never hesitated to tell it like it was and follow it up with a big hug. She was the light and life of the party and she was a pillar of strength and positivity even when she was most ill.
Kate will be desperately missed by those left behind, especially her high school sweetheart and love of her life Josh White, her beautiful daughters Evelyn and Josephine White, her parents, Tom and Cathy Krupko, her siblings Tom (Liz) Krupko, Thomas (Laura) Cotterman, Amy Catania, Allison (Thomas) Pfaus, Jake (Kaci) Krupko, Dan (Alexandra) Krupko and Tam Rininger, her in-laws Bob and Deb White and Brittany (Sam) Knappenberger and her 15 nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her beloved dog Izzy who faithfully sat by her side through everything. Kate was met with open and loving arms by those preceding her in death, especially her sister-in-law, Ashley White, her Godparents Sam and Faith Paich, her grandparents, Sam and Marylou Suitca and Drs. Paul and Marie Krupko, and her husband's grandparents Robert and Mary (Irene) Miller. Kate relied heavily on Psalm 46 verse 10 that says, "Be still and know that I am God" which was always on display in her home. She would want all who miss her to do the same. Kate, until we meet again, we know you will be singing beautifully in the choirs of angels. May she rest in peace and may her memory be eternal.
