Catherine Virginia Rekettye

Catherine V. Rekettye, 94 passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2017. She was born in Akron and was a member of the former St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church and was a current member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church. She was also a member of St. Michael's Guild, G.C.U., Jednota #555, Firestone Park Prime Timers and Past President of St. Michael's Rosary Society. She was a church bingo worker and kitchen volunteer.  She was an avid bowler belonging to the 600 Club and loved the Browns, Indians and Cavs.  A special thank you to Sharon Lann and the staff at Mulberry Gardens for all of their love and care. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; brother, Loren Feller; and sisters, Thelma Boatner, Margaret Watson and Florence Kelly. She is survived by special nieces, Pat Watson and Judy Yohe; special friend, Sue; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held Saturday, 10 a.m. at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, 1051 Robinson Ave. Barberton, Ohio 44203 where Catherine will lie in state one hour prior to service. Fr. Miron Kerul Kmec officiating. Interment at St. Michael Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, 5 to 8 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S.
