On July 21st, Catherine "Katie" Bernadette Julagay Corall passed away peacefully at her home with family at her side. Katie was 87-year-old. She was born in Brooklyn NY on November 30,1937. At the age of 12 her family moved to Cooperstown NY. When she was 19 years old, she moved to Akron, Ohio where she met Bill Corall. They were happily married for 66 years and raised 6 children. Katie worked for Acme Clicks until she retired in 1992. Katie loved playing golf and bowling with her friends. Katie crocheted and knitted many family members' cherished items. She loved animals and had many beloved pets, JoJo, Oscar, Max and Buttons.
Katie was preceded in death by her parents Manual D Julagay and Fortunata Bergamus Julagay, her husband William "Bill" Thomas Corall, her brothers Emmanual (Manny) Julagay, (Gloria) Sebastian "Sam" Julagay (Mary) and Peter Julagay (Judy), her sister Antoinia "Toni" Mayberry (Roy) and her daughter-in-law Donna (Bill)
Katie is survived by her children Jackie Corall, Karen Miller (Joe), Bill Corall, Cassie Corall, Jeff Corall, and Gayle Roberts (Aaron), her grandchildren Joseph Bailey, Will Corall, Jennifer Corall, John Miller, Anthony Miller, Olivia Roberts and her great granddaughter Amelia Miller and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Traditions Health Hospice. Diana, Susan, Kathy, Diamond and Dr. Taylor gave her wonderful care.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 24 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM at the Anthony Funeral Home - Akron Chapel, 1990 S Main St, in Akron. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 25 at 10:00AM at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1580 Brown St in Akron. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Ancient Order of the Hibernians, 2000 Brown St, Akron, OH 44319. In lieu of flowers donations be made in memory of Katie to the Humane Society
