Catherine Adelina Cacioppo

Catherine Adelina Cacioppo, 99 1/2, went to be with the Lord Friday, February 5, 2016.
Catherine was born August 15, 1916 in Camporeali, Sicily and came to the United States in 1931, living in New York until she married Joseph in 1932 and moved to Akron where she has lived since.
She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph; infant daughter Mary Margaret; siblings Ann Chambers, Vita Rapacillo and Tony Montabano. She is survived by her children Joseph (Isabel) Cacioppo of Green and Mary Azar, Nancy Koepke, Catherine Yost all of Akron; sisters Jean Scarengella and Nancy (Bob) Simone of Brooklyn, NY; grandchildren Joseph (Elaine) Cacioppo of Green, Catherine (Salvatore) Zumbo of Baltimore Md., Becca Cacioppo of Akron, Nancy Lynn (Steve) Dalton-Bennett of Akron, Peggy Wilhite of Akron, Guy (Debbie) Wilhite of Akron, Ann Marie (Vito) Spano of Hartville, Fred (Darlene) Azar of Cuyahoga Falls, Joe (Connie) Azar of Clinton and Mike, Mary, Rose and Allen Azar all of Akron; 22 great grandchildren; 13 great great grandchildren; many loving nieces and nephews.
The family is grateful to the staff of St. Luke in North Canton for their special care of Catherine. Special blessings on Nancy Lynn for the loving care given to her grandmother.
