Carolyn S. Rankin (Lawson), 67, passed peacefully on Sept. 21, 2015. Born in Akron to the late Edward and Hazel Lawson, she has been a lifelong Akron resident. Carolyn was a beautician and had worked at First Lady Salon. She leaves behind her husband, of 26 years, James; son, Michael (Casy); daughter, Kelly (Duane); grandchildren, Jeff (Ashlee), Alex, Kaylee, and Piper; great grandson, Nolan. She also leaves many friends who over the years became more like family. Some people leave their mark on the world while others leave it on everyone they meet. She will be missed by many and is loved by all. Calling hours will be on Saturday from 10 a.m. to Noon at the Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home (811 Grant St.) where funeral services will take place at Noon, Pastor Jim Case officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park will follow.
