Carolyn R. Johnson, 81, Passed away surrounded by family on April 25, 2018. Born in Akron on July 26, 1936 to the late Albert & Irene Darkow, she had been a lifetime area resident and was a graduate of Garfield High School. Carolyn worked for King Machine for over 25 years. She was an active member of Life Spring Christian Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Fellowship, as well as serving as a deaconess. Carolyn loved her Lord and she loved her family. She enjoyed traveling, going to the beach, and her cats. In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her grandson Aaron Kidikas and her companion Larry Brailer. She is survived by her children Diane Wetzel, Scott (Sandra), Perry, & Dean Johnson; grandson Adam Kidikas; great-grandson Brennen Guerin, as well as many nieces, nephews, & cousins. A funeral service will take place on Monday, 2pm at Life Spring Christian Church, 1828 Marigold Ave. Akron, OH 44301, where the family will receive friends from noon until the time of the service. Pastor Terry Baker officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Akron. (Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, AKRON)
