Carol Mary Smith, 87, wife, mother, grandmother, and sister went home to be with the Lord on December 14, 2023. She was born in Akron on December 17, 1935 to Harold and Catherine Rolph. Carol and her husband of 64 years, Charles "Chuck", lived in Atlanta, Georgia for a number of years before returning to Akron after his retirement. Carol was a graduate of St. Vincent High School and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister.

Preceded in death by her husband, Chuck, she is survived by sons, Denis (Aeree Choe), Mark (Lee Ann), and Ralph (Kathy); sister, Kathy Scott; brothers, Don Rolph, Fr. Edward Rolph, Mike Rolph, and Terry Rolph; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 27 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church on Brown St. where friends may call one hour prior. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
