Carol Ann (Horning) Marshall

Carol Ann (Horning) Marshall, age 71, went home to be with the Lord and her beloved husband James (Jim), Sunday, February 11, 2024. Carol was born on July 15, 1952, in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of Jerome and Angela Horning.

Carol had several jobs during her working career but none of them were more important than her roles as daughter, sister, wife, mother, stepmother, aunt, grandmother, and as a best friend to all who knew her. Family was always the most important part of Carol's life. Being one of nine children, third in line, it's just how she was raised. That tradition carried on into her marriage of 49 years caring for not just her own children but also nieces, nephews, neighborhood kids, and anyone who seemed like they needed a little motherly attention. Adult friends included.

Carol is survived by her daughter Mary, sons Timothy (Rachel), and Andrew (Jillian), grandchildren Andon, Kylie, Ashton, Drew, Kody (Jessica), Katlyn (Stratton), Kyle, a few great-grandchildren, sisters Linda (Larry), Nancy (Ted), Susan, Michelle (Mike), brothers Michael (Lori), Ronald (Pam), and Patrick (Denise), many, many, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, Carol is proceeded in death by her dear sister Christine.

Family and friends will be welcomed at Aker-Moore Memorial Post on April 7, 2024, from 1:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M. with small service from 1:30 P.M.- 2:15 P.M. If desired, friends my make contributions to the Medina County Salvation Army at 425 W. Liberty St., Medina, OH 44256, where Carol volunteered for nearly two years.
