Carol Lee (Samels) Kastner

Carol passed away Monday surrounded by her people: daughter Amy Capeta (Michael); son Jeff Kastner (Sara); grandchildren Emily Martens (Ian), Nathaniel Capeta, and Matia Kastner; and sister Marcia Leinwand. Carol was born in Jackson, Michigan, grew up in West Akron, and raised her family in Green, Ohio. She was an LPN which suited her perfectly as she was always taking care of and serving people above and beyond any job responsibilities. She was a devoted wife, outstanding mom, wildly committed Nani and Cũcũ, and fiercely loyal friend. When faced with the most difficult of circumstances, Carol taught us how to live and love well. Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Harley. The family will have a private celebration of Carol's life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Harley & Carol Kastner Scholarship Fund at the University of Akron School of Law.
