Carl E. Berg, 71, passed away on October 28 after a brief illness. Born in Akron to the late Carl I. and Dorothy J. Berg Snyder, he grew up with his five siblings in the Stow area. Carl loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a hard worker and worked as a laborer for several companies including Falls Lumber where he was especially content. A talented builder, Carl was generous with his talent and was willing to help with any family projects that arose. He will be greatly missed by his children, Carol Sue Berg, Carl Lee Berg; sister, Lee Ann Berg; brothers, Roger, Edward, Walter, and Frank; and 6 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Dunn-Quigley Stow Chapel (3333 Kent Rd. at Rt. 91) where funeral services will take place on Thursday at 1:00, interment at Tallmadge Cemetery will follow.
