Bruce Alan Herring Sr.

Bruce A. Herring Sr., 74, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 3,2024 surrounded by family.
He was born to the late Helen Rose (Jones) Herring and Charles Henderson on March 7, 1950. Bruce was born in Akron, Ohio, but had a deep love for San Francisco, California where he spent a lot of his time.
Along with his parents Bruce is proceeded death by his significant other, Margo Brock and brother, Robert Herring.
Bruce is survived by his sisters Barbara Wells and Brenda Herring, brother Samuel Herring; former wife and friend Loretta Herring; son, Bruce Herring Jr; daughter Nurah L. Ali (Lu), grandson Z'Jordan (Ohnmar) Chargualaf and Taevion Thompson; Granddaughters Tianah and Tamyiah Cherry; 11 great-grandchildren, special nephew Kevin Wells and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and family.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, April 10, 2024 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at the Anthony Funeral Homes, Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S Main St in Akron, where a service will be held at 12:00 PM by Minister Stephen H. Muhammad. A reception will be held immediately following.
