Born on January 7, 1956 Old Calendar Christmas, reposed in the Lord on July 3, 2026.
Bozidar's path in life was determined by God in Lackawanna, New York, after being named by visiting Bishop Nikolai Velimirovich, now a Saint of the Serbian Orthodox Church who proclaimed that his name should be Bozidar translated to mean "Christmas gift".
Throughout his entire life, he served the church with his beautiful singing voice. He had been a member of the St Demetrius Serbian Orthodox Church in Akron, Ohio, St. Demetrius Church Choir, St. Demetrius Men's choir, Serbian Orthodox Choral Association, and his favorite, The Kosovo Men's choir.
Dealing with medical problems for over fifty years until his body completely gave out did not deter him in helping his church and family as best he could.
Through the church and choirs, Bozidar had a few good friends; Don Lambo, David Spanja and especially "KUM" Milenko Paljich. They were always willing to help him even if it was only to listen.
His other group, outside of the church, was his "Gang of Eight"; special friends he dearly loved since early school days who always included Bo in their family activities.
Survived by his brother Milorad (Donna) along with their children Natalie & Alex who he dearly loved; and brother Branko (Teresa); also cousins Gary, Brian, Kathy, Barry and their families.
Predeceased by parents Vladimir 12/21/1966; and Natalie 12/10/1975.
He will lie in state beginning at 10:00 am with funeral service at 11:00 am on July 8, 2026, at St. Demetrius Serbian Orthodox Church, 3106 Ridgewood Road, Akron, Ohio 44333. Interment at Lakewood Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church.
