Bogdan Sokolovic

Bogdan Sokolovic, 68, passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Summa Hospital. Bogdan was born November 3, 1953 in Katinovac, Croatia and came to the United States in 1999. He retired from B & C Machine Company and was currently employed at the New Era Restaurant. He was preceded in death by his parents Mihajlo and Marica, his 2 brothers Nenad and Milan and his 2 sisters Dragica and Sava. He leaves behind family in Croatia and Serbia nephews Bogdan, Savo and Jovo and nieces Zeljka, Vesna and Savinka. Prior to coming to the United States he worked at Tim Topusko Metal Industry as well as worked on the family farm. Bogdan loved playing bocce, visiting Amish country, barbequing, and making homemade sausage. Bogdan will be greatly missed by his many friends especially his extended family at the New Era Restaurant.
Friends may call TODAY, Sunday, January 9, 2022 from 4 to 6 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Akron where a Parastas will take place at 6:00pm, Rev. Fr. Milan Pajich officiating. Interment will be Monday at 11:00 am at Lakewood Cemetery.
